Tranfer students

If you have already studied at least two semesters with at least 60 ECTS credit points in a comparable study programme (e.g. Visual Communication, Communication Design, Graphic Design), you can apply for the Bachelor's degree in Visual Communication as a university transfer student for a higher semester.
In this case, please enter the following information in the application portal my.udk-berlin.de:

  • 'Which semester do you want to start your study programme in? => ‘Higher subject-related semester’
  • ‘University transfer student’ => ’yes’
  • Submit a corresponding certificate of achievement with the formal documents (one PDF)

As a university transfer student, you must also go through and pass the admission procedure for the Bachelor's programme.
To do this, you must submit a corresponding portfolio within the upload deadline. The homework is not necessary. If you are not sure whether you can enter the procedure as a university transfer student, please also submit the homework assignment.

The admissions committee will assess the application on the basis of the submitted portfolio; if necessary, a personal interview will be held (parallel to the entrance examination for Bachelor 1st semester).
