• Admission requirements

  • Bachelor degree  or equivalent degree in solo voice
    • Applicants who only have a three-year Bachelor's degree (180 LP) or a three-and-a-half-year Bachelor's degree (210 LP) must complete one or two semesters of adaptation studies after passing the admission examination for the Master's degree programme. The decision on the duration is made by the admission committee at the end of the admission examination, taking into account the individual performance level.
  • Outstanding artistic and musical talent
  • german language skills B2 according to CEFR

  • Standard period of study: 4 semesters, 120 credit points
  • Degree: Master of Arts (MA)

All of the steps listed below must be completed within the application period for the respective study programme. We recommend that you submit your application as early as possible within the application period so that you can clarify any questions that may arise with our StudyGuide in good time.

• 1. Create an application account

  Register and verify your identity (if you have not already done so) on the UdK Berlin application portal: https://my.udk-berlin.de

   

• 2. Payment of the application fee

  Fee per application: EUR 50.00 (plus fees for international transfers)

  Proof of payment: bank statement or transfer confirmation with value date

• 3. Prepare documents as PDF files

  During the application process, you will be asked to submit formal documents. Please prepare these as individual PDF files (max. 5 MB each).

  Formal documents:

  • Curriculum vitae with details of musical training
  • University degree certificate
  • Transcript of records for the BA degree
  • Preliminary examination document (VPD) from uni-assist, if applicable (see FAQs)
  • Proof of German language proficiency at B2 level according to CEFR for international applicants (see FAQs)
    • Application also possible with German B1
  • Proof of payment of application fees
  • Letter of motivation

• 4. submit an application

  Log in to the application portal (https://my.udk-berlin.de) and submit an application for admission to your desired study programme within the application period and upload the formal documents.
