ERASMUS+ Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP)
As part of the current Erasmus+ program generation 2021-2027, Blended Intensive Programmes (BIP) aim to promote the development of short, intensive, joint teaching and research activities.
This format seeks to offer students and university staff the opportunity for intensive physical group mobility combined with a virtual phase. The Erasmus+ program now provides funding opportunites for intensive programs and other short-term programs with selected partners.
Program outlines:
- At least three higher education institutions from at least three different Erasmus+ program countries.
- The physical mobility must last at least 5 days.
- The virtual phase is obligatory
- At least 3 ECTS credits must be awarded.
UdK Berlin as a participating university:
If you are approached by potential partners regarding participation in a Blended Intensive Program, please feel free to contact the International Office for support in this new form of cooperation. Should you decide to take part in a project, we are happy to assist you with the administrative processes, coordination, and application for mobilities to ensure scholarship approvals.
Mobility grants for UdK students can be financed from Erasmus+ mobility funds upon successful application. The funding amount depends on the applicable Erasmus+ daily allowances, the means of travel used, the duration of stay, potential compensation for disadvantages, and the current budget allocation.
University staff are funded via regular ERASMUS funding.
The number of short-term mobilities that can be funded is currently limited. We therefore ask you to submit your application using the designated application form. The application and a description of the project must be submitted. Please send the application and the project description to bip. @udk-berlin.de
UdK Berlin as the coordinating university:
- Costs incurred can be covered through organizational funds, depending on the number of mobile participants. Eligible expenses include personnel costs for student assistants, teaching assignments, and material costs for support activities (e.g., excursions, catering, entrance fees) up to a maximum of €6,000.
- Participants from the partner universities (both faculty and students) are funded by their own home institutions via ERASMUS+ scholarships if there is sufficient budget.
The number of projects that can be coordinated is currently limited. We therefore ask you to submit your application using the application form. The application and a description of the project must be submitted. Please send the application and the project description to bip. @udk-berlin.de
The application deadline for projects with an implementation period until the end of June 2026 is 15.04.2025. Further calls for applications will follow.
