In the winter semester of 2021/22, students at the UdK organised themselves to breathe new life into the empty café in the central axis of Hardenbergstraße 33. The Café Kubik association was founded as a student initiative to run the café again. Now the space itself is also to be redesigned. To give students from all faculties an opportunity to get involved, this intervention is to take place in the course of a Studium Generale. The aim of the course is to change this place spatially, artistically and creatively, to rebuild it, to appropriate it and to create a new space for the students, teachers, workers and guests of the UdK.
The workshop will take place in 3 blocks. The first part includes the planning, the second part serves as preparation and in the third block the redesign will be carried out.
