UdK TUESDAY Archiv
The lectures of the UdK Tuesday series, formerly the Monday series, have been held since 2005 at the Institute for Architecture and Urban Planning of the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). In over 200 editions, creators from the fields of architecture and theory have presented their work and discussed it with students, faculty, and interested guests.
While the lectures are always organized by individual invitation from specific subject areas, they reflect the expanded intellectual contexts and areas of interest within the institute. At the same time, the series connects architectural practice with education in the program and provides insight into individual projects and potential fields of work. The series focuses on the students' critical engagement with a wide range of architectural positions to develop their own stance on questions of their architectural practice.
The documented lectures in the UdK TUESDAY archive are gradually being made accessible to the architectural discourse and the interested public. In this context, student-edited interviews with the speakers are also being conducted again, offering a further supplement to the lecture series oriented towards current issues in architectural education.
The series always begins at the start of a semester.
