Film Costume Design
Designing film costumes for films (video, cinema, TV) is based on the same principles as in theatre as to how a character can be characterised. In terms of craftsmanship, however, there are a lot of differences to consider - colour, material texture and surfaces interact differently with light and camera. Knowledge of script interpretation, directing concepts, camera and, above all, lighting is therefore essential. Practical knowledge that the profession requires in artistic, psychological and organisational terms is also discussed.Sophie Klebba and various lecturers.
