Joan La Barbara – Exploring the voice

This course focuses on exploring the voice, its possibilities and the many ways in which it can be used in different contexts. The course is concerned with interdisciplinary collaboration, aimed at composers, voice artists / singers and other performers / musicians / artist that like to work with voice and those who wish to experiment. This opens the course up to artists who do not have academically trained voices, but use the voice in the visual arts, for example. It is also open to dancers and choreographers who wish to incorporate vocal work into the movement and are open to sounds (breath, words, wails, fragments of song) coming from the dancers.
