She She Pop – Inventing and fulfilling: the task at the centre of a performative action
The workshop deals with the task of the artist/performer on stage. When a self-chosen task is at the centre of a performance, what effect does it have? What is the difference to a play or a game? We will set each other tasks - less to evaluate the result than to find out what actually makes a good task for the stage. We will invent play arrangements, questioning techniques and regulated games. How can the performer's task be developed into the central idea of a performance? What means of description and alienation are suitable for developing a substantive effect? How little is enough? In this course, we will deal with the conceptualisation of our own stage action in the form of a self-chosen task.
The workshop is aimed at performing artists and/or performers with more or less experience. We work partly in small groups.
