crescendino: "Sing with us" – crescendino
“Sing with us!” - Under this motto, the Staats- und Domchor Berlin and the girls' choir of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin invite you to an open day at Bundesallee 1-12 on May 24, 2025.
Singing is always and everywhere, promotes a sense of community, releases happiness hormones and is something that accompanies children who are introduced to singing in a group at an early age for the rest of their lives. With the Staats- und Domchor Berlin and the Mädchenchor der Sing-Akademie, two outstanding choirs will be presenting their work to interested children and families at the Berlin University of the Arts!
Short concerts with the State and Cathedral Choir and the Girls' Choir of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin
The two choirs present their work in short hands-on concerts and talk about musical training in a large choral community.
After the concerts, all children aged 5 and over who are enthusiastic about singing are invited to a voice check.
11.00 am with the DoMinis, the Kurrende I and the Girls' Choir I
3.00 pm with the Choir School, the Kurrende II and the Girls' Choir III

The Berlin Senate has imposed enormous savings targets on public universities. You know that: An excellent musical education consists not only of the many hours of solitary practising and lessons by professors, but also, to a large extent, of performing in front of an audience. This inherent part of the training is also the opportunity for you to attend almost always free concerts at a high level. We don't want to have to cut back on this. By attending our events, you can also show those responsible in politics that music and art are meaningful for every society. And if you can: support us with small or large donations. The donations are used for teaching, tuning, transport, advertising material, for our music festival crescendo - wherever no funds can be spent at the moment. This directly benefits our students and also you as the audience, as this is the only way we can maintain events of this calibre and variety.
