"Da pacem" Music by H. Schütz, A. Pärt and J.S. Bach – Konzert
The performers are Ensemble Baroque of the UdK Berlin, Kammerchor der Künste and soloists. The artistic directors are Prof. Xenia Löffler & Prof. Maike Bühle.
A strengthening concert in troubled times: with a program of various settings on the theme "Da Pacem", UdK students will present the peace-making and mediating impulse to meet each other appreciatively, listen to one another and enter into a fruitful dialogue on January 26, 2025. Coming from different areas of study, they get involved in a joint project: aspiring sound engineers, picture directors, choir directors, early music instrumentalists, school and church musicians come together and play a rousing program of music from the Renaissance, Baroque and modern times, with verve and enthusiasm.
Professors Maike Bühle (choral conducting), Xenia Löffler (baroque oboe), Nanna Schmidt (picture direction) and René Möller (music broadcasting) value cooperation projects between students from different courses at the University of the Arts as a fruitful source of mutual inspiration and shared learning. In addition to the presentation in the concert, the following works will also be documented in image and sound:
Johann Hermann Schein (*1586 †1630) Corollarium. Canzon à 5
Gregor Meyer (*1979): Da Pacem Domine
Heinrich Schütz (*1585 †1672) Da Pacem Domine
Arvo Pärt (*1935) Da Pacem Domine
Johann David Heinichen (*1683 †1729) Concerto in G
Johann Sebastian Bach (*1685 †1750) Messe in G für Soli, Chor und Orchester BWV 236
