A erruption of emotions with dance, acting and singing with students of musical/ show course.

A quarter of a century ago, the training of singing and dancing actors and actresses for German-speaking stages was still in its infancy. Today, the picture is completely different: numerous graduates of the UdK Berlin now populate the musical stages of the world and are extraordinarily successful in competitions. This concert is an opportunity to experience the versatile talents of the Musical/Show program under the artistic direction of Prof. Kenneth Posey. Finalists* of the 2021 National Singing Competition for Musical/Chanson as well as 3rd year students will present solo numbers, duets and ensembles from well-known and lesser-known works from the last 100 years of entertaining musical theater: from the 1922 operetta Madame Pompadour to PARADISE LOST, the program's latest co-production with the Neuköllner Oper, which will have its world premiere in June 2022.
