Chang Ge

Vita

Chang Ge is a 19 year old violist who is a graduate of the Conservatory Center of Music in BeiJing with Zhen Su, and she is currently studying with Diyang Mei at Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin.

She has performed in masterclasses with renowned violist including Professor Michael Kugel of the Royal College of Music in Maastricht, the violist Naoko Shimizu of Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, professor Pierre Henri of National Conservatory of Music in Paris as well as the famous violist Nobuko Imai', during which she was highly praised for her outstanding performance and talent.In June 2020, successfully advanced in the 2020 International Cecil ARONOWITZ Viola Competition in the United Kingdom.In November 2021, she won the first prize in Rocky Mountain Concerto Competition Fall Season.Her current viola is Giampaolo Savini 2009, sponsored by the Yu Foundation, and she is the latest and youngest viola patron of the Yu Foundation.
