Prof. Gregor Sigl

Born into a musical family, violinist and violist Gregor Sigl received early instruction in music from his parents starting at the age of five and continued his musical education at the "Albert Greiner Music School" in Augsburg. When ten years old, he enrolled at the renowned "Mozarteum" Salzburg. Aged seventeen he joined the international violin class of Latvian violinist Philippe Hirshhorn at the "Utrecht Conservatorium".
As a soloist and as a member of the Berlin based Artemis Quartet, he performs worldwide at all the most important concert venues and is a frequent guest at international music festivals. Gregor Sigl and the Artemis Quartet record exclusively for Erato/Warner.
Since 2007 he has been teaching as a professor of chamber music at the "Universität der Künste Berlin" and also held a professorship at the "Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel" in Brussels from 2007 to 2022.
