Studies in composition at UdK Berlin (Diplom and Meisterschüler degrees), at Royal College of Music London, and as a young student at the HfM Detmold. Master's  (HU Berlin) in Germanistik and Philosophie and Doctorate in Musikwissenschaft/Musiktheorie.
Artistic and theoretic research into themes including musical experience of time, intermedial transmission, musical "Essayimus".
Performances by various ensembles in Germany and abroad, numerous grants and honours for compositinal work (including a stipendium in Villa Aurora Los Angeles, in the Germany Academy in Rome and at the Cité des Arts Paris; Kunstpreis des Landes Brandenburg).
