Even Running
Even Running
We would like to invite you to the release of Judith Raum’s publication “even running” on Saturday, June 14th, 8 p.m. at motto Berlin (Skalitzer Straße 68, backyard).
The publication is transforming Judith Raum’s lecture performance “harmless entrepreneurs” (2011) into a book format and is documenting recent solo exhibitions at uq bar Berlin and The Return, Dublin. In both exhibitions Raum’s images and installations have been focussing on the economic involvement of the bank Deutsche Bank in the Ottoman Empire during the early 20th century. Raum is setting the modus operandi of the founders – as it is becoming visible in the correspondence and photographic archive – in contrast to the improvised nature of the steps of production along the railroad tracks, which the bank constructed. The texts where written by Jonathan Carrol, Suhail Malik and Judith Raum, the layout created by HIT.
