WERKZEUGE DES KOMISCHEN or WHAT’S SO FUNNY ABOUT ME?

How can we work personal material on stage and get the audience to laugh? It is the goal of this workshop to question a personal crises and constraints of society in a comical way. Together with others you will get to know the laws of comicality as well as practical tools of their application through specific tasks and stories.

The participants will be working on a comical performance, which can be staged at the end of the workshop. This work is suitable for both actresses and non-professionals; it offers independence from dull and boring role offers and opens up to new perspectives on your comical and creative potential and last but least a different view on life.

Authorship as well as performance skills will be trained. Vanessa Stern works with elements of stand-up comedy, improvisation and story telling founded on her experience during her research work at the GraduateSchool of the Arts and Science at the University of the Arts, Berlin. Her latest teaching position took place at the Art College Zürich, Switzerland.
