Our alumna Valentina Karga is doing her performance Market For Immaterial Value at Athens Biennale.
Market For Immaterial Value is an investigation on creating, validating and disseminating art in the era of immaterial economy. Valentina Karga and Pieterjan Grandry are looking over a capitalist horizon and share their findings, reflections and ideas. What is the role of the artist in a financialized (art)world? They create discursive spaces for sharing the heaviness of financial abstraction, as they feel that the uncontrollable, diffused monsters of financialization and precarity are invading not only our working ethics but also the most personal corners of our lives and fundamental values.
