Music Theatre Project “Neuland”
Our former fellow Ketan Bhatti and his brother Vivan conduct and compose the music theatre project “Neuland” that premiers at the Deutsche Oper Berlin on 16th April 2016.
On the experimental stage “Tischlerei” of the Deutsche Oper, the Bhatti brothers and the directors Martin Berger and Jonas Egloff, as well as 20 refugees – and 20 Berliner teenagers created a new country, “Neuland”, within the last two weeks. A country with its very own language sounds and gender models etc. It is an installation-inspired evening where the audience strolls through this country named “Blomagal” as a stranger who is confronted with the nature of this new and peculiar culture in all its facets.
