The Neuköllner Oper presents the premiere of the music theatre “Das schwarze Wasser” (The Black Water), an adaption of Schimmelpfennig’s play by Vivian and our alumno Ketan Bhatti.

Two groups of teenagers unexpectedly encounter each other one night at an outdoor swimming pool both groups have broken into. Stars shine over the black water while unfamiliarity and competition transform into fascination. Twenty years later Frank meets Leyla, the girl he fell in love with in that night when everything seemed to be possible. What happened during the last twenty years? Roland Schimmelpfennig, famous playwright, he looks on us: the German „Integrationsgesellschaft“.
