The solo exhibition “Once Upon A Time, Once Upon No Time“ by our alumno Azin Feizabadi opens soon in the frame of UP (Unsustainable Privileges) at Galerie Wedding.

The exhibition program UP (Unsustainable Privileges) continues in 2018 with a solo exhibition by filmmaker and artist Azin Feizabadi. The presented artworks stem from the long-term project called A COLLECTIVE MEMORY, which has provided since 2009 a research and production framework within which Feizabadi deals with alternative forms of historiography. This discourse is picked up in cinematic and installation means at Galerie Wedding and placed in relation to questions of the construction of time and identity; questions that are also addressed in Feizabadis new and narrative film “Uchronia”. It is an attempt to question the understanding of cultural and national identity from its purely historical justification. What are alternative forms of historiography that are used outside of institutional and ideological prescriptions?
