Online lecture & workshop Rindon
Rindon Johnson will present a talk about his recent works and his upcoming pendant exhibitions at SculptureCenter (New York) and Chisenhale Gallery (London). Both exhibitions center themselves around questions of form, water rights, trans rights, unknown historical narratives and the multivalent nature of bodies in and out of digital space. In addition, Johnson will speak about his recent research on Virtual Reality, discussing the various linguistic principles and failures that animate his work.
For the workshop, Johnson and the participants will create a distance writing group together. Participants will be asked to prepare a poem of any length, style or format to share with the group. Participants must register and send their poems by 30 November so as to give their fellow participants enough time to provide feedback in time for the workshop on 7 December. Johnson will also be offering a new poem for the workshop.
Program by Akademie der Bildenden Künste München (Frauenbeauftragte), in cooperation with Florida magazine.
