#11 Performing the Archive – Clarissa Thieme
Performing the Archive
Based on the inextricable difference between event and re-presentation, "Performing the Archive" examines artistic strategies of translating and approaching communicative blank spaces that are our singular experiences. Against this background, how can we consider the archive as a space for action and experience?
Clarissa Thieme is a media artist and filmmaker. In her films and installations she combines documentary and fictional elements to explore the politics of memory and identity processes.
