International Music Dissemination Projects: Levels of Investigation and Research Guides for a Critical Engagement with Practice

This dissertation examines international music projects to consider the implicit and performative cultural knowledge that is bound up with music and its dissemination. It analyzes the basic problems and questions that arise from the transfer of this culturally specific knowledge into a different cultural space, examining them through perspectives and theories of various academic disciplines.
