Dr. Grit Köppen is currently conducting research on decolonial aesthetics in contemporary drama and theater. In this context, she is investigating decolonial artistic strategies.
His dissertation "Prekäre Oberflächen: Zur Materialität des Bildes und des Körpers am Beispiel der künstlerischen Praxis Francis Bacons" (Precarious surfaces: on the materiality of the image and the body in the artistic practice of Francis Bacon) appeared in early 2015 with the Deutscher Kunstverlag.
