Reading group Ai-Ae-Ästhetik
Description
How can the transition between sensibility and embodied perception to the aesthetics of art be conceptualised? How is an approximation to the aesthetic as a non propositional, non discursive possible by means of language? Why do we need the “aesthetic”, and which epistemic, political or affective problematics can be articulated through a thinking of it? Brought together by the tedium of handbook definitions, the reading group meets to discuss texts and works by e. g. Sara Ahmed, Michel Foucault and Bernhard Waldenfels, with a particular interest in concrete aesthetic-political practices.
