AUTEL is a completely new form of wedding wear that focusses on inclusion and fluidity. In particular, it dresses male bodies, queer people and anyone who feels comfortable in fluid fashion. Marriage for all has made getting married more accessible for many people since 2017, but the market is still characterised by binary wedding dresses and suits.
This is where AUTEL comes in, designing a modular range of tops, bottoms and accessories that can be worn on their own or in different combinations to create a flexible wedding outfit. Individual body characteristics are already considered and valued during the design process. AUTEL is thus positioning itself within a large gap in the market and is focussing on a thoroughly inclusive range.
The Berlin Startup Scholarship is funded by the European Social Fund and the State of Berlin (Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises).
