
Health protection - Company Medical Officer
Health protection includes the prevention and avoidance of work-related illnesses.
Protection, care and support of health issues have a high priority at Berlin University of the Arts.
As required by the Occupational Safety Act, an occupational safety specialist (‘occupational safety’ „Arbeitsschutz”) and a company doctor (‘health protection’ („Gesundheitsschutz”) have been appointed to advise the University management and employees of Berlin University of the Arts on the prevention of work-related health problems.
A procedure for reintegration into the work process after a long period of illness has been established: (BEM – Betriebliches Eingliederungsmanagement)
This programme line ensures individual ‘health promotion’ with the Health Day, which has been held in cooperation with TU Berlin since 2016, and a now diverse range of health courses. „Gesundheitsförderung”.
The ‘Team of helthy UdK’ listens, takes up requests, plans and organises the annual focal points and manages their implementation. Operational framework conditions, structures and processes are scrutinised. The aim is to organise work and the environment in a way that promotes health.
