Lehrauftrag Historical Bassoon Instruments
The Institute for Artistic Education / Early Music at the Berlin University of the Arts is looking for a lecturer for the subject of historical bassoon instruments from the summer semester 2025.
The teaching position is initially based on demand, with a maximum of 8.5 hours per week, and includes both individual and ensemble lessons.
We are looking for an excellent artistic personality with pedagogical skills and enthusiasm for teaching historical performance practice.
An international concert activity with experience in both chamber music and orchestral playing is required. In addition, artistic and collegial collaboration within and outside the institute is a desired part of the teaching assignment.
The hearings will take place on January 28, 2025 and will include an audition (approx. 20 minutes), a teaching rehearsal (20 minutes) and a subsequent interview with the commission.
During the hearing at least two different styles with two different instruments should be presented. In case accompaniment is needed, there are the following instruments available: a harpsichord in 415 Hz, a harpsichord in 440 Hz and a fortepiano in 430 Hz.
Costs arrising for the application must be borne by the applicants themselves.
We would also like to point out that travel and accomodation costs incurred as part of the teaching assignment are also not covered by UdK.
