My artistic practice explores the tension between analog and digital media, focusing on the materialities of moving images as tools to reconstruct memory and envision possible futures. Drawing from the concept of symbiopoiesis, I investigate interspecies collaborations through visual assemblages where human and non-human elements coexist. By merging film formats such as 16mm and Super 8mm with digital processes, I seek to dissolve boundaries between organic and technological realms.
Lichens—organisms formed by mutualistic relationships—serve as metaphors for collective resilience and alternative modes of coexistence. Their presence in my work reflects a search for narratives that shift from anthropocentric perspectives toward plural, interconnected worlds. Through installations and projections, I aim to create immersive spaces where images become living archives, resonating with both past and future temporalities.
We create machines to replicate and represent the world we are destroying. Within this paradox, I conceive moving images as sites for dialogue, inviting viewers to reimagine their place within a fragile yet symbiotic planet.
