KW-Kooperation

Free admission to KW

Since the winter semester 2023/24, a new cooperation has been established between the Berlin University of the Arts and KW, under which students are granted free admission to all exhibitions upon presentation of their student ID.

As a prelude, Akiko Bernhöft and Jenny Dirksen initiated the teaching collaboration ‘Geschichten zur Geschichte’, which addressed artistic ways of dealing with the past. This dialogue included a close examination of current and past KW exhibitions using the newly established archive of Kunst-Werke Berlin e.V.. Based on this joint research and the individual approaches of the students, new artistic works were developed, which were shown from 24 February to 3 March 2024 at KW Institute for Contemporary Art in the final presentation NAPPING IN DENSITY

KW Institute for Contemporary Art has been an established institution and venue for art production and presentation in the Berlin and international art scene for more than 30 years. In regularly changing exhibition programmes and multifaceted event and mediation formats, KW is dedicated to central questions of our present.
