Andy Park

Vita

Andy Park, a major prizewinner in 2024 Primrose International Viola Competition, currently
pursues a BA/MM dual degree at Yale University for Bachelor of Science in Chemical
Engineering and Master of Viola performance under the guidance of Ettore Causa. Before
attending Yale, Andy participated in the Colburn Academy program under Paul and Gina
Coletti. He was a quarter-finalist in the 2021 Primrose International Viola Competition, and
he has been invited to the first round of the 2023 ARD International Music Competition. As
an orchestra enthusiast, Andy took part in the 2018 New York String Orchestra Seminar and
won principal viola positions in numerous orchestras, such as NYO-USA. During previous
summers, he actively participated in rigorous music festivals such as Music@Menlo, Heifetz
Ashkenasi/Kirshbaum Seminar, and Ravinia Festival. Andy performed alongside esteemed
artists such as Joshua Bell, Nicholas Kitchen, Yeesun Kim, Ricardo Castro, Yefim Bronfman,
Tim Eddy, and Pamela Frank. Andy also participated in numerous masterclasses led by Orion
Quartet, Roberto Diaz, Karen Dreyfus, and Steve Tenenbom. Andy currently uses a bow and
a viola graciously loaned by the Maestro Foundation.
