Vita

The Korean Hyelim was born in Seoul  2000, started viola at the age of 10. With the professor's big recommendation, She entered the Korean National University at the age of 16 as the youngest with Soon Wha Oh. In 2018, She came to Germany and started as a Bachelor student at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" Berlin with Prof. Walter Küssner.

Her numerous awards include the Audience Award at the International Anton Rubinstein Competition in Düsseldorf 2017 and the second prize for Chamber Music (string quartet) at the Hong Kong International Competition in Hong Kong.

In addition, from 2018, she is sponsored as an art scholarship holder of "Hyundai Auto", which is known as a Korean automotive company. In 2019 and 2021, she received the prize of the Förderverein der Carl Flesch Akademie e for her outstanding performance in the final concert of the Carl Flesch Akademie e. V. in Baden-Baden.

Hyelim Yoo has gained a wide variety of orchestral experience, including in the seasons 2021 to 2023 at the Academy of the Sinfonieorchesters des Bayrischen Rundfunks Munich. Further Temporary work took her to orchestras to  such as the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam and the Münchner Philharmoniker. Since season 23/24, she has been a member of the viola group of the Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra Berlin.
