crescendo, the music festival of the UdK Berlin, takes place every year in early summer and has been under the artistic direction of Prof. Markus Groh and Prof. Konstantin Heidrich since 2017. Since then, changing artistic themes have shaped the programming - in 2017, the festival motto was "GründerZeit," in 2018, "UnVollendet," and in 2019, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Faculty of Music as the oldest conservatory in Berlin, "Hundertfünfzig."
From symphony to chamber concert, from children's music theater to contemporary compositions and novel concert formats - students, teachers and international guests present the great musical diversity of our university every year anew.
