Tung-Han Hu

Tung-Han Hu, born in 1992 in Taiwan, received his first musical training in piano and trombone. Following his passion for early music and historical keyboard instruments, he studied harpsichord with Prof. Mitzi Meyerson at the Berlin University of the Arts, and later pursued studies in harpsichord, fortepiano, and chamber music with Prof. Christine Schornsheim at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

He is a prizewinner of several international competitions in both solo and ensemble categories, including the Telemann Competition in Magdeburg (2019), the Biagio Marini Competition (2020), the Handel Competition in Göttingen (2022), the Bach Competition in Leipzig (2022), the German Music Competition (2024), and the À Tre Ensemble Competition in Trossingen (2024).

Since the winter semester of 2022/23, Tung-Han Hu has been working as harpsichord accompanist at the Early Music Department of the Berlin University of the Arts, where he continues to learn and grow through daily musical exchange with colleagues and students from around the world.
