The nominees for the UdK Berlin: The President’s Fine Arts Award 2020

The President’s Fine Arts Award is annually tendered in the College of Fine Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since 1997, a jury of renowned persons from Berlin's art and culture scene and under the chairmanship of the university president Prof. Martin Rennert, is rewarding three master class students of one year. The prize includes a monographic catalogue and an exhibition at an established art institution in Berlin.

The unexpected shutdown that we are currently experiencing has also had a challenging effect on The President`s Fine Arts Award. Thus, no exhibition of all the nominees could take place, from whose midst the prize winners are usually chosen.  Therefore, we are grateful to the jury for having met this special challenge of our time with great sensitivity and for having selected the nominees and the prize winners in an digital jury meetings.

In this way, we would like to honour the work of all other nominees in addition to the three prizewinners in 2020.

In addition to those listed here, Younggeun Kim (class of Prof. Ina Weber) was nominated.
