Thomas Lea Clarke is a Berlin-based electonic musician and sound artist who is currently enrolled on the Sound Studies and Sonic Arts MA at Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK). His practice approaches and works with sound through installation, live performance and composition to explore topics such as space, sonic experience, histories and technology. He is interested in how sound is experienced, the significance that it carries and how it can be composed and presented to explore these topics. In his recent work, Clarke's background as a musician and radio broadcaster has led him to explore repurposing various audio playback machines such as turntables, tape machines and radios to examine the dynamics of our interactions with playback media and music. He has released multiple musical works on various record labels and since 2019 has run his own imprint, Phase Group records.
