UdK TUESDAY Archiv

The UdK Tuesday (formerly Monday) lecture series has been hosted by the Institute for Architecture and Urban Design at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2005.

Each lecture is organized through the personal invitation of professors, academic staff, or students, reflecting the broader intellectual contexts and interests of the institute. This collaborative approach fosters a dynamic connection between architectural practice and education, providing students and participants with deeper insights into individual projects and potential career trajectories. The series aims to inspire students to engage with diverse architectural perspectives, helping them cultivate a critical understanding of the challenges and questions shaping the field.

The lectures are progressively archived in the UdK TUESDAY archive and made available to both the architectural community and the general public via the UdK Tuesday Streming Channel. Informal interviews with lecturers are conducted by first-semester students, allowing them to engage directly with contemporary topics and gain hands-on experience.

This semester (WS24/25), the overarching theme is Bauwende and the role of architecture in addressing the climate crisis, reflecting the urgent need for action in the field.
