Our next guests will be our dear professor ROBERTA BURGHARDT & dear former professor DAGMAR PELGER, from COOPDISCO, upon invitation from the Institute of Architecture and Urban Development. Watch the lecture live on tuesday, 26.11.24, at 7pm in R310. The lecture will be held in German language. COOPDISCO The motivation for our practice lies in transforming the conditions under which space and cities are produced. Our goal is to develop, plan, design, and implement places that can be used, needed, and maintained as commons. By this, we mean spaces that are imbued with the potential for co-creation by users and are affordable, accessible, and permanently protected from privatization and speculation. To achieve this, we collaborate with users and neighborhoods, municipalities, urban political groups, state-owned housing associations, cooperatives and associations, the Mietshäuser Syndikat, academic and cultural institutions, as well as artists—and all others who wish to join us in advocating for the right to the city. Through various projects, we demonstrate where our practice takes root, who we bring together in our projects, and how we intervene in places, discourses, and the production of knowledge.
