Formen der Gemeinschaft
Partizipatorische Prozesse sind in der zeitgenössischen Kunst keine Seltenheit mehr, sondern zur allgemein akzeptierten Praxis geworden. Das Seminar untersucht Formen der Gemeinschaft und Partizipation in der Medienkunst. Wir beleuchten den Begriff der Gemeinschaft in seinen kulturspezifischen Ausprägungen und analysieren Ansatz, Prozess und Wirkung partizipatorischer Kunstwerke. Welche Formen von Gemeinschaft finden Künstler heute vor? Können künstlerische Arbeiten Gemeinschaften schaffen? Wie lassen sich partizipatorische Prozesse gestalten? Welche Rolle können neue Medien dabei spielen? Wenn 'socially engaged art' keine Dienstleistung ist, welche gesellschaftlichen, kulturellen und politischen Funktionen hat sie dann? Zudem entwickeln wir Grundideen für eine mediale soziale Skulptur bzw. ein mediales partizipatorisches Monument.
