Subtexts

In the exhibition Subtexts, students from the Master’s program in Sound Studies and Sonic Arts at the Berlin University of the Arts are making their debut at the Dystopia Biennial. As part of the “Dys/utopian Realities” project seminar led by Professor Georg Klein, seven unique works were independently developed, planned, and brought to life for the exhibition space at studierendenWERK on Potsdamer Str. The exhibition explores various sociopolitical, perceptual-psychological, and epistemological themes, with a focus on the heightened debate around freedom of expression and art in Germany, particularly in the context of the Gaza war, which finds a powerful echo in the underground car-park venue.

With support from studierendenWERK Berlin.
