Sybille Neumeyer is an interdependent artist, designer and researcher with a background in art history, linguistics, ethnology and visual communication. Through her art works and participatory workshops she investigates environmental issues and relationships between humans and non-humans. Her research in various disciplines such as biology, history of science, anthropology, medicine, geology and science fiction, often in collaboration and exchange with scientists, opens post-disciplinary perspectives for her work. Currently Sybille Neumeyer is guest researcher at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, where she examines ecologies of care and control, and artist fellow at the IASS –Institute for Advanced Sustainability Studies in Potsdam where she focuses on embodied memories, more-than-human health, microbial associations and earthly futures. Recent projects are "souvenirs entomologiques" for "Critical Zones - Observatories for Earthly Politics"/ZKM Karlsruhe (2020) and "voicing encounters - a narrative cartography of virus" as part of "Contagious Cities: KOEXISTENZ" at and around the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (2019).

Sybille Neumeyer ist eine interdependente Künstlerin, Designerin und Forscherin, mit Ausbildung in Kunstgeschichte, Linguistik, Ethnologie und visueller Kommunikation. In ihren Kunstwerken und partizipatorischen Workshops untersucht sie ökologische Themen und Beziehungen zwischen Menschen und Nicht-Menschen. Ihre Recherche in verschiedensten Disziplinen wie u.a. Biologie, Wissenschaftsgeschichte, Anthropologie, Medizin, Geologie und Science Fiction, oft in Zusammenarbeit und Austausch mit Wissenschaftlern, eröffnet post-disziplinäre Perspektiven für ihre Arbeit. Zurzeit ist Sybille Neumeyer Gastwissenschaftlerin am Museum für Naturkunde Berlin, wo sie Ökologien der Fürsorge und Kontrolle untersucht, und auch künstlerische Stipendiatin am IASS, dem Institut für angewandte Nachhaltigkeitsforschung in Potsdam, wo sie sich mit verkörperter Erinnerung, mehr als menschlicher Gesundheit, mikrobiellen Assoziationen und irdischen Zukünften beschäftigt. Aktuelle Projekte sind "souvenirs entomologiques" für "Critical Zones - Horizonte einer neuen Erdpolitik"/ZKM Karlsruhe (2020) und "voicing encounters - a narrative cartography of virus" als Teil von "Contagious Cities: KOEXISTENZ" im und im Umfeld des Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (2019).
