Nagehan Tokdoğan (Off-University)

Nagehan Tokdoğan was born in 1984 in Ankara. After graduating from Hacettepe University, Department of English Language and Literature, she completed her Master's and PhD at the Faculty of Communication of the same university. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Max Planck Institute Center for the History of Emotions. She is the author of Yeni Osmanlıcılık: Hınç, Nostalji, Narsizm (Neo-Ottomanism: Resentment, Nostalgia, Narcissism. Her academic interests include sociology of emotions, politics of emotions, nationalism and gender studies, masculinity studies, human rights, and ethnography. Her articles on these fields have been published in various journals and books.
