Nach dem ersten Aufeinandertreffen in Amsterdam im Jahr 2014 starteten Artem Belogurov, Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde und Aysha Wills im Rahmen verschiedener Konzerte eine gemeinsame musikalische Laufbahn; dabei traten sie sowohl in kleinen, privaten Rahmen als auch als „Artist in Residence“ beim Pianoforte Festival in Zaandam auf. Im Jahr 2017 stieß David Westcombe zum Ensemble hinzu, was zur Gründung des Les Vieux Galants führte.
Die MusikerInnen vereint die Leidenschaft zur Erforschung neuer Wege, sich alter Musik zu nähern, und sie nutzen dabei sowohl historische Forschung als auch ihren Experimentierwillen. Ihr Repertoire reicht von Bach bis Boulez und sie führen ebenso Werke mit dem entsprechenden historischen Instrumentarium jedes anderen Zeitraums auf. Die einzelnen Mitglieder des Les Vieux Galants führten Konzerttätigkeiten bereits nach Europa, in die USA, nach Kanada, Russland, in die Ukraine und nach Japan und sie machten Aufnahmen für Labels wie Piano Classics, Brilliant Classics, Gamma Musica, TRPTK und All of Bach. Des Weiteren spielten sie mit vielen führenden europäischen Ensembles und Orchestern für Alte Musik zusammen, darunter dem Cordevento, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Nieuwe Philharmonie Utrecht, Bach Society of the Netherlands, Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands, Marten Root Consort, Luthers Bach Ensemble, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Montreal Symphony Orchestra, und dem Concerto Köln.

After meeting in Amsterdam in 2014, Artem Belogurov, Octavie Dostaler-Lalonde and Aysha Wills played together for several different concert opportunities, ranging from small private recitals to playing as artists in residence at the Pianoforte Festival in Zaandam. They were joined by David Westcombe in 2017 which lead to the Les Vieux Galants being formed. They combine their shared passion for exploring new ways to approach old music, through the use of both historical research and experimentation. Their repertoire ranges from Bach to Boulez, and they are comfortable performing on their respective historical instrument counterparts from each period in between. Separately, the members of Les Vieux Galants performed in Europe, US, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, and Japan and recorded for such labels as Piano Classics, Brilliant Classics, Gamma Musica, TRPTK, and All of Bach.
